Ballads, Rockets, Fernet, and Steel
Buenos Aires is part drug, part circus, part insomniac, set in both the past and the future, with a soundtrack of violins, guitars, and electronica.
The past days are a bit of a blur...
There was a lady singing tango ballads in a smoky bar with walls that rose twenty feet high, stacked with thousands of old, dusty bottles of wine...
There was a rocket made of light that stood hundreds of feet high...
There was a roadtrip that stranded us while a horse grazed in the middle of the road, barring our way...
The was a fire on the ceiling of an apartment...
There was maté, and music, and Fernet, and smiles...
There was wandering into a warehouse where an Oscar-winner performed guitar to modern tango and electronica...
There was a grill the size of a volkswagon that bent under the weight of the cooking carne...
There were drinks on the steps of a palace...
There was liquid steel being thrown onto the side of a wall, set to music...
There was a parade of glowing landstriders reimagined from Jim Henson´s The Dark Crystal...
There was, in between, sleep.

Who knew Argentina could be such fun LOL I am rather interested in the steel throwing to music! Can't wait to hear that story and/or see those pics :) Glad you are on the mend! Wisco misses you!
